El Real: A map of coexistence and exclusivity

The exhibition centre is a perfectly organised structure. It is mainly divided into three sectors: the Real (where the booths are located), the Hell Street (the amusement park with its popular «rides») and the service area.

The demand to be part of this route is so high that a extension for 2027, which will add 220 new stalls to the current thousand-plus. However, in this 2026, the key remains access:

  • Private Booths The vast majority belong to families, groups of friends, or organisations. They are private spaces entered by invitation only.

  • Public Kennels They represent approximately 30% of the total. They belong to districts, political parties or unions and are open to everyone from 12:00 to 3:00 in the morning. They are the ideal option if you visit the city without local contacts.

The Dress Code of the April Fair

The fair is a gala catwalk where regional dress and current fashion meet.

The Flamenco Dress

This outfit evolves each season according to trends. If you decide to wear it, the The flower should crown the top of the head., placing it on one side betrays a lack of knowledge of tradition. Remember that it is an accessory exclusive to regional dress; wearing it with casual clothes is considered an aesthetic mistake.

As for the mantilla, its use is reserved for the morning Horse Parade, always worn with an elegant cocktail dress and never with a flamenco outfit. Unlike the sobriety of Semana Santa, at the Real, versions in white, cream, or soft colours are preferred, placed on a tortoiseshell peineta (hair comb) to stylise the figure. To complete the ensemble, Shawlette it should be fastened perfectly crossed and secured with a clasp, accompanied by oversized earrings that bring the necessary balance to the volume of the ruffles.

Street, road, lane, avenue, boulevard, pathway, alley, way«

If you're not wearing a flamenco dress, the ideal choice is to opt for a Look elegant. Men usually wear a suit jacket or blazer and tie. For women, cocktail dresses, discreet ruffles and striking accessories work wonderfully.

The Fair's Cover 2026: A tribute to Charles V

If there is one symbol that defines the ephemeral essence of this festival, it is its Home page. This year, the design pays homage to Old Portuguese Pavilion (actual Consulate), a regionalist gem situated in the environs of Prado de San Sebastián, very close to the emblematic Plaza de España. This building was erected for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, occupying an impressive plot of 9,400 square metres.

The 2026 design celebrates architecture and commemorates the Fifth centenary of the wedding of Emperor Charles V and Isabella of Portugal, a treaty signed in Seville in 1526. This monumental structure translates that history into colossal dimensions: 40 metres wide, 40 metres high and 5.70 metres deep. To bring this recreation to life, the following are used 28,000 LED light points, which light up in unison on the illumination night.

The Albero factor

The floor of the Fair is covered with tree, a golden land that grants a precious light but stains easily. Choose comfortable footwear that will allow you to dance Sevillanas for hours, but avoid breaking in your favourite shoes, as they will end up stained by the yellow dust of the fairground.

Gastronomy: The ritual of Rebujito and Pescaíto

The culinary experience at the Fair begins with the Iberian ham, Huelva prawns and fried fish. The drink par excellence is the Rebujito, that mixture of manzanilla or fino wine with lime-lemon soda and lots of ice.

Although its freshness makes it seem harmless, its alcohol content and the high April temperatures recommend caution. Essential advice is to alternate the drink with solid food, such as the classics Tapas, and close the day with some churros with chocolate freshly made fritters.
