The Museo Bellas Artes de Granada, inaugurated in 1839, is the first public museum in Spain. It was created with works seized during the Mendizábal confiscations and is located in the Palace of Charles V, inside the Alhambra. MUSAL, Museo de la Salud, inaugurated on 14 June 2021, is managed by the Vice-Rectorate for University Extension and Heritage and the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Eastern Andalusia. This museum has its main headquarters in the V Centenary building, but is also composed of 15 additional university spaces that retain their original location in Granada, Ceuta and Melilla. These spaces include the Miguel Guirao Dental Museum, the Zambrano Pharmacy, the Osteoteca and the University Herbarium, which cover various health-related topics.

The Albaicín district, declared a World Heritage Site, stands out for its historic cisterns that supplied water to the Alcazaba Qadima and its inhabitants. The water was brought from Alfacar, 14 km away.

The Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo is an important monument in Granada, being the only royal almunia preserved within the ancient city. Although only the ceremonial core remains of the original palace, its tower with a qubba and a remaining rectangular garden, it is significant as a precursor to the palaces of the Alhambra. The architectural and decorative techniques that would later be used in Nasrid palaces were tested here. This ensemble offers a valuable insight into the evolution of Islamic architecture in Granada.
