The Moorish villages of Sedella, Salares, Árchez, Canillas de Albaida, Canillas de Aceituno and Cómpeta, located at the foot of the Sierras de Tejeda and Almijara, share a unique cultural and landscape heritage, with vines being the predominant crop. Together, they form the Mudéjar Route, characterised by narrow streets and whitewashed houses. Among their treasures are the Church of San Andrés and the Casa Torreón with its Mudéjar tower. In the Sierra de Tejeda is La Maroma, the highest peak, along with attractions such as the Cueva Horeada and the Salto del Caballo.
