Upon entering the small town of Gorafe, its church, located on the crest of a hill, stands out. The area is home to 81 megaliths and an important Argaric settlement on the Cerro del Culandrillo, with finds of pottery and bronze objects. In its surroundings, remains of Muslim walls and over 300 cave-houses, many still inhabited, are preserved. In the urban centre, the 16th-century Mudejar church is prominent.
