The award was presented at the 7th Digital Tourism Congress of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which took place on 26 and 27 May.

With this award, the organising organisation, the Canary Islands Association of Information and Communications Technology Engineers and the Official Association of Telecommunications Graduates and Technical Engineers of the Canary IslandsThe project is a project that, through technological innovation, can generate wealth in the tourism sector and improve its competitive capacity. One of Aumentur's objectives is to become a useful tool for smart destinations and improve the user experience.

Digital Tourism Congress

The 7th edition of the Digital Tourism Congress was held during the last week of May in online format. It was the most international edition ever held, with speakers from Mexico, Chile, Cape Verde and Madeira. In this way, the challenges facing the tourism sector and the direction it needs to take in order to shore up its opening were presented.

Seven thematic panels with thirty presentations on issues related to security in tourist destinations, changes in infrastructures, new models of destinations post Covid-19 or the role of collaboration, formed the programme of this edition, where the new strategies to be followed after the upheaval caused in the world tourism sector due to the effects of the complete closure of the sector and its consequences for the economy after the pandemic were discussed.

As was already evident in the International Tourism Fair held in Madrid, where Aumentur was also representedThe current healthcare crisis has led to changes in the tourism sector that are here to stay. In this sense, technology is being used to respond to the demand for health security and personalisation. Aumentur is born with this vocation, it is ready to be implemented in destinations and for this reason it receives the premio ‘Soluciones Innovadoras TIC-Turismo’ of the 7th Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Digital Tourism Congress.
