Oviedo on your mobile: the commitment to the digitalisation of tourism in the capital of the Principality of Asturias

On 9 August last, at the Asturias International Trade Fair (FIDMA), the Asturias International Trade Fair (FIDMA) was presented, Oviedo on your mobileOviedo City Council's commitment to Aumentur. Jose Antonio CelisGeneral Director of Hotels, Tourism and Congresses of Oviedo, and Javier MeleroAumentur's CEO, Aumentur, presented the new tourist guide for mobile phones, where visitors to Oviedo can find useful information about the points of interest.

In the free app Aumenturare now available 8 visitor packs with more than 120 tourist attractions in Oviedo: the old town, sculptures, natural sites and historical routes. In addition, at each point the visitor can find multimedia content that help you understand what you seeso that you can value it and share it. This information is available in 3 languages and is accessible for people with functional diversity.

Discover Oviedo's sightseeing routes on your mobile phone

In order to access this content, visitors to Oviedo will be able to download the Aumentur appor, alternatively, scan the QR codes at the points of interest or the Oviedo Tourist and Pilgrim Service offices. Once downloaded, the smart app will notify you when you are near a point of interest and will help you not to miss anything along the route.

With this initiative, Oviedo City Council has become a pioneer in the Principality of Asturias by committing itself to a smart tourism platform that combines digitalisation, sustainability and accessibility in tourism.
